Meeting with Hon. Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu:
On 28th March 2023, we had a productive meeting with the Honorable Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji and Paramount Chief Hon. Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu. This meeting laid the groundwork for fruitful collaborations moving forward. His Excellency Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is now the President of Fiji as of the 31st of October 2024.
Meeting with Hon. Viliame Gavoka and Hon. Manoa Kamikamica:
On 30th March 2023, during the Fiji Tourism Investment Summit, we had the privilege of having a one on one meeting with two of our Honorable Deputy Prime Ministers of Fiji, Hon. Viliame Gavoka (who is also the Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation) and Hon. Manoa Kamikamica (who is also the Minister for Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises and Communications). Their presence, alongside Ms. Jenny Seeto (Investment Fiji Board Chairperson) and Mr. Kamal Chetty (CEO of Investment Fiji), showcased their support and belief in our project's potential.
3. Presentation at the Office of the Prime Minister
On 28th April 2023, we had the honor of presenting the Bula Village Project at the Office of the Prime Minister. Along with the Office of the Prime Minister, Senior representatives of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services were also present, demonstrating both their commitment to advancing healthcare in Fiji. We received verbal endorsement and support during this meeting, followed by the receipt of an official signed letter of support from the Honorable Prime Minister of Fiji which now serves as a beacon of inspiration for our entire Bula team.
4.Site Visit by Hon. Viliame Gavoka
On 8th May 2023, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Hon. Viliame Gavoka, accompanied by his Assistant Minister Hon.Alitia Bainivalu and Permanent Secretary Ms.Salaseini Daunabuna along with Tourism Fiji staff, visited our site. This visit further highlighted the government's serious intent to support our project and foster collaboration in the healthcare sector.
Meeting with Hon. Manoa Kamikamica in the United States:
On 1st June 2023, Hon. Manoa Kamikamica, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications, met with our key representatives, Mr. Tom Wilson, Ms. Monica Cooper, and Mr. Alika Cooper (Fiji's Trade Commissioner to North America) in the United States. This meeting emphasized the government's dedication to fostering international partnerships and promoting our project on a global scale.
5. Hon. Prime Minister's Visit to First Landing Resort
From 4th to 5th July 2023, the Honorable Prime Minister, Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka, graced First Landing Resort with his presence. During his stay, our team had the privilege of engaging in a one-on-one meeting with the Honorable Prime Minister, accompanied by Commissioner Western Mr. Apolosi Lewaqai. Our team members, including Tom Wilson, Jim Dunn, Dr. Elena Ratumaitavuki, and myself, had the opportunity to present an updated PowerPoint presentation, showcasing our progress and plans. The Honorable Prime Minister reiterated his government's support and emphasized their commitment to supporting the necessary road infrastructure, including the bypass road. He also expressed his endorsement of our renewable green energy solutions and advanced waste management initiatives, aligning with his role as the Climate Change Champion for Fiji and the region.
